Animal Adaptations STEM FIeld Study

Hello First Grade Team!

Billy Frank Nisqually Wildlife Refuge
Each fall ALL first graders in NTPS engage in the STEM Field Study, Animal Adaptations.  This field study provides students with a foundation for the life science standards first graders will engage in.

The teacher guide contains the pre and post trip lessons, chaperone support pages, grading opportunities that align to the SEPs (Science and Engineering Practices, which are graded in NTPS), picture vocabulary cards and a tips and tricks page.

If you have more resources or ideas to share with our NTPS First Grade teaching team, please reach out to me. The more we share, the richer the experiences, and we love "smarter, not harder!"

Happy Science!
